INFORMILLENIALS CONFAB


The University Librarian, Mr. Ronaldo P. Sumait and other Campus Librarians: Ms. Catherine M. Salva – Lasam Campus, Ms. Esmie R. Perdido – Sanchez Mira Campus and Ms. Jenny M. Azurin – Piat Campus, attended a 3-day Summer Conference with a theme “INforMillenials : New Competencies and Challenges in the Changing Library and Information Landscape”, conducted by the Association of Special Libraries of the Philippines (ASLP) with the cooperation of Xavier University (Ateneo de Cagayan), last April 26-28, 2017 at Pearlmont Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.

The main objective of this confab is to expound the new competencies needed and challenges in providing 21st century library and information services to the so-called ?Millennials? or individuals who reached adulthood around the turn of this era, who grew up in an electronic-filled, increasingly online, and socially-networked world.

The sessions feature the following fruitful modules:
