The CSU University Librarian, Ronaldo P. Sumait, attended the Librarians’ Conference 2015 with the theme “Creating Greater Impact for Libraries”organized by the Philippine Librarians Association Inc. (PLAI) – Cagayan Valley Regional Librarians Council (CaVRLC) at Sunshine Wave Resort and Garden, Santiago City, Isabela last September 30-October 2, 2015.

The three-day fruitful endeavor specially aimed to a) update the participants on the current library management trends and practices including library marketing strategies to enhance the library's visibility and usefulness; b) equip the librarians with research skills and let them better understand and appreciate their involvement in library accreditation; c) arm the libraries with necessary skills rendering effective reader and technical services; d) allow participants to experience community service by donating children's books through a fun run dubbed as "LibraRun" and establish bond with colleagues through a socializtion/fellowship night; and e) provide directions to provincial councils through planning.
