Web OPAC
With the new Campus Library Automated System, patrons (students, faculty, administrators and inter-library users) can now access the Library Collections with the aid of Destiny Library Manager through Android phones and tablets, as well as Apple iOS devices like iPad and iPhone. This means they can now find the resources they need anytime, including breaks in between classes and anywhere they have access to wi-fi or 3G phone signal. The mobile app is similar in function to the Destiny Quest desktop application, including showing a list of the latest acquisitions, the top 10 books, as well as categories of books. If a patron is allowed by the librarian to login to the system, he will have additional functionality like account information (checkouts, holds, fines), ability to rate and review books, place holds on books, have their own personal book lists. It’s a useful and much appreciated addition to the library’s offerings.
To try out this free app, point your Android tablet or smartphone’s browser to this link, download, and install this app: Destiny Quest Mobile App. You can also download this app from Google Play (for Android, go to http://play.google.com, just search for ‘Destiny Quest’) or from Apple iTunes App Market (for iOS) thru this LINK. To utilize the application, just enter the IP address 124.106.65.222:8081. Momentarily, the server is open from 8:00AM to 6:00PM Monday to Saturday.
